Deauville is a coastal town on the Côte Fleurie, in the French region of Normandy. Trouville is located at the mouth of the Touques, on its right bank, opposite Deauville.


A luxury vacation destination since the 1800s, it is known for its large casino, golf courses, horse races and its American Film Festival. Its large sandy beach is bordered by Les Planches, a famous promenade dating from the 1920s with its beach huts.
