The Bayeux tapestry is a medieval tapestry which recounts the conquest of England by Guillaume the Conqueror 69 meters long. She is one of the most impressive works in history.

Baron Gérard Museum of Art and History:

In a permanent dialogue between palaces and collections, 800 archaeological or ethnographic pieces are presented there, nearly 600 works of art, including 250 paintings and prints, and more than 2,500 porcelains and lace, creations which ensured the influence of Bayeux around the world.

The lace conservatory:

The purpose of this workshop is to safeguard the know -how transmitted by the Dentellières de Bayeux since the 17th century. The lace conservatory continues to teach the techniques of lace at the spinders. Exhibition, animation, sale. Free visit.
