The Manor of Mathan is a charming hotel with a restaurant in the Bessin region in Normandy : located between countryside and the sea, all kinds of "nature" activities are possible.
The hotel is 5 km away from the seaside : bring your fishing net to collect cockles on the Cote de Nacre. The hotel's restaurant proposes a number of specialities from this famous coast.
Remember to bring a towel for an escapade to Ouistreham with it's small cabins and it's kite-surf when the wind rises.
Don't forget your wellingtons when going for a stroll at Port-en-Bessin, where you can enjoy a guided visit to the port and to the foreshore (underwater rocks that are uncovered at low tide), with cockles and sea anemones.
