 The Fiefdom of Mathan in Normandy belonged to the King and the Manor of Mathan became the property of the Hue of Mathan family and remained so until the 19th century. During the 17th century, the main block was doubled in length and a new building was added to link it to barns, storerooms and stables, following which the roof was raised. Today the Manor of Mathan is made up of three charming buildings organized around a central square courtyard. Meticulously refurbished using natural materials, carved stone and tiles. The Manor of Mathan, has an elegant, refined façade with bas-relief pilasters and triangular pediments.
